Indianapolis

The largest city in Indiana, Indianapolis lies at the very center of the state. It is home to something close to 800,000 people, and the outlying counties probable add more than a million more. Indianapolis is in Marion County, and the county and city governments have been combined since 1972 in a system called Unigov. It is home to the 2007 Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, the Indiana Fever, the Indianapolis Indians, and other sports teams.
